Barley Hall has a varied volunteer team who are a vital part of the Hall’s operations. Whether you want to come to gain new skills or use existing ones, undertake a new experience or meet new people; we are always very pleased to hear from people interested in volunteering with us.

We can then ensure we find the best match of opportunity for your interests. We will work with you during your time at Barley Hall to provide all necessary training, and we are also currently looking at provided accredited training opportunities for Volunteers.

The Hall also takes placements from schools, universities and colleges and is an excellent work-based learning environment for those wishing to enter the heritage or leisure industries. Our Volunteer Coordinator will tell you more.
Barley Hall is also a useful partnership organisation for schools and higher education establishments wishing to extend their teacher’s or trainee teacher’s development. A number of opportunities exist, working with our education team on specific projects as well as on focus groups and on specifically tailored INSET days.
