This is an experience that is all about having a go; visitors are invited to grab their trowels and get their hands dirty while exploring 2000 years of York’s unique history.

What will you find?
At DIG you will uncover artefacts from Roman times through the Viking and Medieval ages to the Victorian period that will help you learn what life was really like.

As a charity you can help us and get yourself free admission at any time during the 12 months following your visit. All you have to do is instead of paying an admission fee make a Gift Donation equivalent to the admission fee. By doing so for every £1 you spend we can get an extra 28p.
