Joint visits with JORVIK
DIG offers a unique opportunity to get
involved in becoming an archaeologist and learning the tools
of the trade.
Why not combine your visit with a visit to the
world-famous JORVIK Viking Centre and see how we reconstruct
the past using the evidence we find. Travel back one thousand
years and visit the Vikings of JORVIK. Journey through a reconstruction
of the Viking-Age streets, complete with sounds and smells,
exactly where archaeologists found the remains of the original
city.
