This 2½ hour session includes:
A visit to DIG
A guided tour of the Hungate excavation
site
An interactive workshop where children
get the chance to sort and label finds from the
Hungate dig, and experience a range of other archaeological
techniques
DIG Live!
Plus JORVIK:Add
a visit to JORVIK to the session above for just £2.30
per child and spend extra time investigating York's
Viking heritage. Allow one additional hour.
Note - Everyone taking
part MUST wear suitable clothing including:
Sturdy trousers
- such as denim jeans, preferably old ones that
you don't mind getting dirty
Boots (no open
toe shoes, sandals, trainers, pumps, loafers etc.
will be allowed on site)
Waterproof coat
Gloves
Other safety wear
will be provided.
